Our gastronomic itinerary is able to refresh even the most tired palates.
Matera’s cuisine is simple and genuine with pronounced yet balanced flavours.
Its cornetto bread, caciocavallo cheese, “l’uschiante” (sharp aged ricotta), stewed turnips, chickling pea puree, baked orecchiette, roasted lamb with potatoes, “la crapiata” (a dish of legumes prepared on 1st August).
All of this and much more, paired with an Aglianico DOC wine will welcome you to the land of the Sassi.
